2.3 BYLAW ESTABLISHING THE CONFERENCE BOARD

There shall be a Signal Processing Society Conference Board.

The chairperson of the Conference Board shall be appointed by the Society President and shall serve a term of two years, and may be reappointed. The General Chairperson of ICASSP of the current year, the two previous years, and future years for which ICASSP General Chairpersons have been designated shall be members of the Conference Board. The Chairperson of the Technical Committees and the Chapters Coordinator shall each appoint a member of the Conference Board and the Chairperson of the Conference Board may appoint up to four at-large members. Appointed members of the Conference Board shall serve a term of two years and may be reappointed.

The Conference Board may request a budget from the AdCom.

The Conference Board shall select sites for ICASSP and shall appoint the General Chairperson of each ICASSP. The Conference Board shall aid the ICASSP Committees, approve their budgets and assist their planning. The Conference Board shall compile and maintain a conference manual, and in other ways shall be the repository of experience.

The Conference Board shall approve Workshops and shall assist Workshop committees. The Conference Board shall approve CO-sponsorship of conferences and workshops with other societies, or cooperation with other societies with respect to meetings.

The Conference Board shall oversee the Audio Equipment Committee and the Conference Presentation Standards Committee.

The Chairperson of the Conference Committee shall report to the AdCom, and the Committee shall be responsive to general policies set by the AdCom.
