12.15 AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT

The Local Arrangements Committee is responsible for providing audio and visual equipment for an ICASSP, and for staffing this equipment with adequately trained operators. In general, the operators are supplied by the hotel or hired from the outside. Be certain to reserve adequate funds from the conference budget to rent any necessary audio or video equipment and the associated operators.

Authors should be able to count on having slide projectors and overhead projectors at each lecture session. It is our policy that all reasonable requests for equipment be met. The MDSP Technical Committee maintains a list of video formats which should be made available for each session at ICASSP. There may be requests from poster sessions as well as lecture sessions. Check with the Technical Program Committee for final requests. The current formats, which are also specified in the author's kits are:

Prior to ICASSP, some authors may request other standard formats. The Local Arrangements Committee should be prepared to make U-matic tape equipment with the NTSC, PAL, or SECAM color standards available if requested in advance.
