Under the leadership of its General Chairperson, the ICASSP Conference Committee is responsible for the organization and operation of the specific ICASSP for which it was organized. The Conference Committee reports to the SP Conference Board. It receives guidance and instruction from the Conference Board and recruits additional help from the local IEEE chapter. The Conference Committee should include the following officers:
The General Chairperson may decide to appoint additional officers deemed
necessary. Each chairperson is the head of any committee which may be
formed in their area.
In the sections that follow, the general responsibilities of the various
chairpersons are described. Later chapters of this manual describe the
specific responsibilities of the Conference Committee officers.
