1.1 SCOPE OF THE MANUAL

This manual attempts to present the traditions and policies of the the SP Society in organizing ICASSPs. It does not seek to replace the IEEE Technical Meetings Organization Manual: A Guide to Conference Planning, which presents the IEEE rules, regulations, and recommendations. The IEEE Technical Meetings Organization Manual should be considered an necessary supplement to this guide for those attempting to organize an ICASSP. The IEEE Technical Meetings Organization Manual may be obtained from Conference Services at IEEE headquarters, or from the Signal Processing Society Executive Officer, Mercy Kowalczyk.
