The General Chairperson will be asked to report to the Conference Board at least twice per year. Technical Program and Finance Chairpersons should also attend Conference Board meetings as the ICASSP time approaches. Items to be presented to and reviewed by the Conference Board include the status of the technical program, the budget, and the local arrangements. Some detail about the expected content of the reports is found in the chapter for each committee. Typical interactions between the General Chairperson and the Conference Board are described in Chapter 1 of this manual. The General Chairperson of each ICASSP becomes an official member of the Conference Board as soon as the Conference Board has accepted the proposed committee and location. The Chairperson continues to serve on the Conference Board until the final day of the ICASSP three years later.
