The Finance Committee Chairperson designates those who will have the power to sign checks that disburse ICASSP payments. This power is called ``signatory power''. Only two ICASSP officers, the TREASURER and the GENERAL CHAIRPERSON, have signatory power. In addition, the IEEE requires that the Society's Executive Officer also have signatory power.
The TREASURER of an ICASSP is responsible for all ICASSP revenues and disbursements. This officer normally makes all ICASSP payments. Usually the Finance Committee Chairperson is also the TREASURER.
