Starting with ICASSP-90, there has been a tutorial day preceding ICASSP. Formerly it was the responsibility of the Technical Program Committee to determine whether the ICASSP would be enhanced by the presence of tutorial sessions, and to organize such sessions if appropriate. The current practice is that the ICASSP Technical Program Committee works with the SP Education Committee to organize the tutorial day. One member of the Technical Program Committee should serve as the tutorial coordinator responsible for working with the SP Education Committee, and for overseeing the tutorial sessions. The Education Committee selects the topics and the tutorial presenters. Detailed information is given in the chapter on tutorials.
