The Technical Program Chairperson should submit the Call-for-Papers to the Conference Board for approval 18 months in advance of ICASSP. Plans for special sessions should also be discussed at this time, with the final plans presented a year in advance.
At the October Conference Board meeting before ICASSP, the Technical Program Chairperson presents the results of the final review process. The report should include statistics for each Technical Committee including the number of submissions and acceptances, and the number and types of sessions. A breakdown of submissions by country is also useful.
After ICASSP is over, each session chairperson should send you a report on the session. Use that information plus your own observations to write a report covering the whole technical program. Please send copies to your General Chairperson, the Technical Program Chairperson of the succeeding ICASSP, the Conference Board, each of the Technical Committees, and the SP Magazine.
