The basic responsibilities of the ICASSP publications committee are to:
The Publications Chairperson is appointed by and reports to the General Chairperson. The Publications Chairperson is responsible for the preparation and distribution of the Author's Kits, the Advance Program, the Final Program or Conference Guide, and the Proceedings. The Publications Chairperson is also responsible for other printing tasks including the session posters, brochures to be distributed in the Exhibits Hall, and arranging for CD-Rom versions of the Proceedings. This officer interacts with a publisher, who handles many of the details, and performs a great deal of coordination and monitoring.
By tradition, the Advance Program, the Final Program or Conference Guide, and the Proceedings have been handled by a single publisher. Because most of the information is duplicated from one publication to the next, it is most convenient to deal with the same publisher for all of them. It may also be useful for this publisher to produce the Exhibits Brochure. Interfacing with this publisher on ALL matters is the responsibility of the Publications Committee. In addition to their other duties, the Publications Chairperson usually serves as a single-point-of-contact with the publisher.
NOTE: It is the Signal Processing Society's Policy that no discriminatory statements or publicity for groups which have discriminatory practices appear in our conference literature.
